Sharmila Gardner

Sharmila has a dual role at Intertek as the Technical Documentation Manager – managing the TD assessment process, the technical documentation assessors and in-house clinicians – and Head of the UK Approved Body. She has been with Intertek for over 3.5 years. During this time, she successfully led the UK Approved Body designation process from start to finish, achieving the designation in August 2023. Prior to this, Sharmila worked in various roles at BSI, first as a Technical Specialist, Clinical Evaluation Specialist & Scheme Manager within the Active Devices Team, then as a Technical Team Manager and lastly as a Regulatory Lead. Sharmila has 17 years of experience working for notified bodies.
