Monica Tocchi

Dr. Monica Tocchi is the CEO and Founder of Meditrial, a global contract research organization driving innovation in complex medical device trials. A Medical Doctor specializing in Cardiology with a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, Monica combines clinical expertise with decades of experience as a pioneering clinical scientist.

She has authored numerous high-impact publications and, for over 25 years, has contributed as a technical expert to ISO TC 194 (Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices) and ISO TC 150 (Surgical Implants), shaping key international standards such as ISO 14155, ISO 18969, ISO 5840, ISO 5910, ISO 22679.

In 2023, Monica was appointed Working Group Leader for the European HEU EFS Horizon program, advancing a harmonized approach to early feasibility studies for medical devices. She continues to champion clinical excellence, regulatory innovation, and global patient impact.
